Meett the band

Jim Plummer

With a lifelong devotion to the golden era of rock ’n’ roll, Jim Plummer has electrified audiences for decades as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist of Bristol’s legendary Firebirds. Since 1991 he’s wielded his cherished Gretsch “G-Brand” with fierce precision and soul, channeling the spirit of Eddie Cochran, Dion, and Elvis through every riff and solo. Offstage, he writes, records, produces, and breathes music from his own studio and even in the quiet moments, he’s already imagining his next song. To Jim, every gig still gives him the buzz, every chord still matters.

Rich Lorriman

Rich Lorriman is a musical force: since first joining The Firebirds in 1992, he has infused the band with his multi-instrumental talent, resonant baritone voice, and deep love for 1950s rock ’n’ roll. A master of the double bass (and equally skilled on sax, drums, guitar and piano), Rich  appears on eight Firebirds albums. When the going got tough in 2020, he answered the call to return “home” to the Firebirds family and continues to travel, perform, record, and create from the heart of rock ’n’ roll’s golden era.

Spencer Lingwood

Spencer Lingwood is the heartbeat of The Firebirds, a drummer and vocalist whose passion for ’50s and ’60s rock ’n’ roll has driven him through decades of touring and theatre productions. Based in Hastings, Spencer brings theatre-level showmanship from tours such as Rockin’ on Heaven’s Door, Rock ’n’ Roll Paradise and Be-Bop A Lula, but it’s the raw energy of live Firebirds gigs that truly lights him up; night after night he keeps the groove tight and the crowd moving.
